Red Ruby and 18K 18ct yellow gold Stud Earrings

A classic pait of ruby and gold earrings.
To create these elegant 18ct round gold stud earrings, I recycled little bits of leftover 18K solid yellow gold by melting them into a ball.
Thereafter, I soldered on an ear post and flush set lovely little red ruby gemstones.
The gold was then brushed to a soft satin finish to make the gems stand out.

Gemstones: natural rubies
round, faceted 0.04ct each
